Song of the Silent Girl
Song of the Silent Girl is a coming-to-be memoir based on my mother's immigration story from Adana, Turkey to the United States. Facing the wrath of racist co-workers, homesickness, and blossoming to the beat of the 'American Dream' and everything it entails for her and her family, she conquers life as an immigrant in her twenties, though bogged down by the harsh expectations of what it means to be a 'true American.'
The Lloyd Legacy
What is the deep mystery of sin? Amelie Lloyd, the daughter of the ingenious author, Vernon Lloyd, explores her obsession with human depravity after her father's harrowing death, with an enigma that only she and her family know. Set in 1965, this brief story explores the life of an eminent writer, Amelie, and the slow deterioration of her mental state after harboring her father's secret for so long.
